Our History
Animal Emergency and Trauma Center was established in
1993 by Dr. Carolyn Zimmers and Dr. David Burgess. They
recognized the need and opportunity for a small animal emergency
clinic to serve the veterinarians and citizens of Kitsap
Peninsula region.
Doctors Zimmers and Burgess were experienced
in small animal emergency medicine prior to the establishment of
AETC and were interested in establishing a small animal hospital
to provide this service.
