Our Technology
AETC utilizes the latest equipment and diagnostics to treat
critically ill and injured pets.
Ultrasonography
Provides fast and accurate imaging of most major organs
Doppler blood-pressure monitoring
Used to monitor blood flow acoustically and for making
blood-pressure measurements using an inflatable cuff.
Endoscopy
A thin, flexible lighted tube, the endoscope is used to examine
your pet for abnormalities such as ulcers that might not appear
clearly on x-rays.
Ocular Tonometry
Used to measure pressure within the eye and determine the
presence of glaucoma.
Blood-gas monitoring
Ensures that your pet has enough oxygen in his blood.
Oxygen Therapy
To provide high concentrations of oxygen to pets, particularly
those with heart and lung disease.
Telemedicine
Telemedicine is a branch of medicine that evolved with the
internet revolution. It involves sending medical data and
images through a phone line or over the internet to another doctor
or specialist to asses the diagnosis. This is like having an
entire hospital full of specialists which enables us to get the most
accurate and rapid diagnosis for your pet. The most common
usage is with radiographs and ultrasound. This is essentially
the same as having a board certified specialist in the building
24/7.
Digital X-Ray
During the last decade there has been a revolution in X-ray
technology. Traditionally X-rays have been recorded on
photographic film and developed in a similar process to that used in
normal photography. However recent advances in digital
technology have been adapted to medical/veterinary radiography.
This enables the images to be stored on computer and magnified so
that subtle changes that may not be visible on conventional films
can be identified.
